Shahla Mahdavi is a world famous artist. She is a
textile and fashion designer. She has done many paintings with
different materials and mediums, including acrylic, pastel, chalk,
coloured pencil. She prefers textile design with batik and bandana
(tie and dye) technique.
In 2001 one of her Batik paintings was lent to
Meridian Organization. Her work, amongst sixty seven contemporary
works from Iranian artists was taken to the United States and they
were shown around the country during two years. More information can
